Forage & Eat: Wild Mushrooms in Oregon

Please bring your own lunch, a bag or basket for collecting and a knife.

Join us for a day of mushroom hunting in a small group with Leah Bendlin. She has been studying mushrooms for 7 years independently and is currently serving on the board of directors for the Oregon Mycological Society. She has taught classes and led foraging trips and mushroom camps for organizations including Oregon Metro, the Estacada Fungus Association, Trails Club of Oregon, Wildcraft Studio School, Tualatin Hills Nature Center, Hoyt Arboretum and Smugtown Mushrooms in New York. Wildflower Hike in the Gorge

May 15, 2019 . . . Depart 7:30am . Initiate 9am . Return for 2pm in PDX

Please wear appropriate walking shoes or hiking boots as the path on this Journey is not very steep. We recommend you bring a personal water bottle and camera to document this unique experience. The Pacific Northwest has an abundance of wildflowers this time of year and it is our utmost pleasure to guide you down a pathway full of colorful flora with Mt Hood and Mt Adams within view.

Capture the Milky Way above Mt. Saint Helens

June 22-23 2019 . . . Depart 5pm . Initiate 10pm . Return the next morning for 11am

Join us for a late night, creative exploration to be an eyewitness of the Milky Way aligned over Mt. Saint Helens. We encourage you to bring your camera and explore with nighttime photography during this epic nightscape. We will be camping nearby so please make sure to bring your own tent, sleeping bag and pad in addition to anything else that will make your Journey epic and enjoyable.
